Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand!

Our food service employees take pride in serving our customers at five school locations.

Breakfast and Lunch are served at all school food service sites. Ala carte items are available at the Middle School and High School sites.

The Food Services Department operates as an education extension of the National School Lunch Program as well as the Child Nutrition Act of 1966. Federal laws regulating the food service programs are administered by the United States Department of Agriculture through the State Department of Education.

We are pleased to inform you that all enrolled students in our school district, regardless of income level, are eligible to receive a healthy school breakfast and school lunch at no charge each day. No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.

We also offer free snack and supper meals at no charge to students enrolled in the ASSETS after school programs at our Merquin Elementary and Hilmar Middle School.

Due to the nationwide food supply chain issues, last minute menu changes are occurring frequently.
Menus on the website may not reflect these changes. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

If you have any questions about the menu, please reach out to Lettie Pacheco (, Supervisor Food Services or Grace Coronado (, Sodexo General Manager.
